Security Software

About AceBIT

AceBIT GmbH is an internationally active software company based in Darmstadt (founded in 1998). Our flagship product, Password Depot, runs on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and the web – complemented by Password Depot Enterprise Server for business customers. Our products enjoy an excellent reputation and are used worldwide by enterprises, SMEs, and private users.

Your Role at a Glance

We are a small team without silos. You will be responsible for marketing (including Google Ads) and take on classic product management responsibilities. You will move between strategy and hands-on execution – with a clear focus on results.

Your Responsibilities

Product management (end-to-end)

  • Translate customer, market, and competitive analyses into actionable decisions.
  • Define and prioritize the product strategy and roadmap, and align both with management.
  • Gather requirements and create product requirements documents; prioritize the backlog; coordinate with development (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Organize user research and feedback loops (interviews, surveys, support signals).
  • Plan go-to-market activities and releases: beta programs, release notes, store listings, and changelogs.
  • Quality acceptance of new features (Definition of Done).
  • Define product metrics (e.g., activation, retention, NPS), monitor them in dashboards, and derive actions.
  • Further develop pricing and packaging (editions, licenses, trial periods).
  • Coordinate documentation and the help center (how-tos, knowledge base).

Marketing & Growth (operational responsibility)

  • Refine the positioning and messaging for Password Depot – tailored to B2B and B2C target audiences.
  • Performance marketing (especially Google Ads): plan, set up, and continuously optimize campaigns; own budgets and forecasts.
  • SEO and website: coordinate the content plan, landing pages, and technical foundation with service providers/development; drive conversion optimization and A/B testing.
  • Content marketing: blog, white papers, case studies, release communications, tutorials.
  • Email/CRM: newsletters, lifecycle campaigns, lead nurturing, segmentation.
  • Social & Community: posts, forums/communities, feedback moderation.
  • PR and partnerships: coordinate trade press activities, reviews/tests; organize webinars/events.
  • Reporting: define clear KPIs, report regularly, and derive actions.

Interfaces & ways of working

  • Close collaboration with Development, Support and Management – short lines of communication, fast iterations.
  • Hands-on mindset: You work in the tool yourself, write copy, build campaigns and test features.

Plain speaking – what you’re signing up for

  • Broad range of responsibilities: from strategy to execution – not a pure coordination role.
  • A mix of day-to-day business (campaigns) and product work (roadmap, requirements).
  • Pragmatic prioritization: focus on the measures that deliver the greatest value now; agencies only as a supplement.

Ihr Profil (Muss)

  • Completed degree – ideally with a focus on marketing/product management – or comparable hands-on experience.
  • Professional experience in marketing, preferably in software/IT; product management experience or a clear motivation to grow into it.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Google Ads (setup, tracking, optimization) as well as solid SEO fundamentals.
  • Analytical, structured and independent working style with clear prioritization.
  • Affinity for technology; ability to collaborate with Development and Support as an equal.
  • Confident written and spoken German and English.

Nice to have

  • Experience with GA4/Tag Manager, CRM/marketing automation (e.g. HubSpot) and A/B testing tools.
  • Basic knowledge of UX/copywriting and app/store ecosystems (iOS/Android).
  • Experience with SaaS and/or security products.

Was AceBIT Ihnen bietet

  • A high degree of creative freedom and ownership with direct impact.
  • Short decision-making paths and a friendly, appreciative team culture in a small team.
  • Modern workstations with height-adjustable desks, ergonomic chairs and state-of-the-art hardware, plus a quiet room, billiards room and kitchen with dining area.
  • Central location in downtown Darmstadt – directly by Herrngarten – with excellent transport links.
  • Flexible working hours (core hours 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.).
  • 30 days of vacation.
  • Above-average salary – depending on experience and level of responsibility.
