Your Role at a Glance
You ensure a consistent, modern user interface across all platforms. You build a design system (components, design tokens, guidelines) and make sure design and implementation align.
Your Responsibilities
Build and scale the design system
- Define colors, typography, spacing, icons, design tokens, motion principles, and light/dark mode.
- Design a cross-platform component library (buttons, dialogs, tables, forms, navigation).
- Create guidelines and documentation (dos and don'ts, states, error messages, accessibility), including versioning.
Product UX and UI across all platforms
- End-to-end design of flows, information architecture, and interfaces for Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and web.
- Prototyping and rapid user testing (internal/external) with clear takeaways.
- Careful design of states, micro-interactions, empty and loading states, and clear error messages.
Collaboration & Implementation
- Work closely with development: clean handoffs, specifications, and design quality assurance in builds.
- Continuous improvement: reduce UI debt, identify and fix inconsistencies, modernize outdated dialogs.
- Internationalization and accessibility: multilingual interfaces, keyboard operability, and strong contrast (WCAG principles).
Ihr Profil (Muss)
- Several years of experience in product design (UX/UI) for desktop and/or mobile; ideally web apps as well.
- Proven hands-on experience in building or maintaining a design system, including components and tokens.
- Very strong interface design skills (typography, spacing, contrast) and a structured approach to flows.
- Confident in prototyping and usability testing; you turn feedback into clear decisions.
- Tools: Figma (or equivalent), prototyping tools; basic understanding of frontend feasibility.
- Clear, structured communication skills in German and English.
Nice to have
- Experience with accessible patterns, dark mode, data-heavy interfaces (tables), and complex forms.
- Understanding of conventions on Windows/macOS as well as mobile patterns (iOS/Android).
- Interest in design metrics (e.g. the impact of redesigns on UX metrics).
