Filter Log Entries

You can filter the log display to get the information you need more quickly.

To do this, click Advanced filter in the Log toolbar. The Filter Log Entries dialog opens.

Activating the Filter

At the top of the dialog, there is a toggle switch that allows you to activate or deactivate the filter. When the filter is deactivated, all filter fields are grayed out and not editable.

Filter Options

If you activate filtering, you will have the following options for reducing the display of log entries to the desired ones:

  • Severity – Select the desired severity level from the dropdown list. Available options: Any, Emergency, Alert, Critical, Error, Warning, Notice, Informational, Debug. The default setting Any shows all severity levels.
  • Before – Enable the checkbox and select a date to display only entries created before that date.
  • After – Enable the checkbox and select a date to display only entries created after that date.
  • User name – Enter a user name to restrict the log entries to a specific user.
  • IP address – Enter an IP address to filter the log entries by the source IP address.
  • Database – Enter a database name to restrict the log entries to a specific database.
  • Object – Enter an object name to display only entries related to that object.
  • Category – Enter a category to filter the log entries by category.
  • Tags – Enter tags to filter the log entries by specific keywords.

Confirming the Dialog

Click OK to apply the filter and close the dialog. Click Cancel to close the dialog without making changes.
