Yes. The Linux client of Password Depot is free of charge – just like the editions for macOS, Android, and iOS. You do not need a license key: simply download the Linux edition from the download section of our website and use it with the feature set it currently provides.
This is how the Linux client fits into the licensing model:
Only the Windows client requires a license. For the Windows client, you purchase a single-user license per main version – you can find details in the article on the licensing model.
Free clients: The editions for macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS are free of charge and can be installed on any number of devices – including in addition to an existing Windows license.
On the Enterprise Server, the user license is what counts. Here, too, no license is required for the Linux client itself; the only decisive factor is the number of users created on the server (the server is free of charge for up to three users). A user connecting via the Linux client therefore occupies one user license like any other user. The administrator only needs to enable the Linux Edition under Connections → Supported clients in the Server settings.
Note: Free of charge does not mean identical in features: the Linux client does not yet offer all the features of the Windows client; its feature set grows with the updates. For details, see the article "Password Depot for Linux: feature set, supported distributions, and development status".
