Licensing Model
of Password Depot Enterprise Server
You need a license for the Enterprise Server with the desired number of users. All clients for all operating systems are included.
The user count of Password Depot Enterprise Server defines the number of users you can create on the server.
If more than three users are required on the Enterprise Server, the purchase of a server license is necessary. This license is offered in tiers: It starts at five users and ends with an unlimited number of users.
Unlimited usage duration
You purchase a license that becomes your property without any time limit. Acquired licenses can therefore be used indefinitely.
Updates & Upgrades
You receive updates and upgrades as long as you have valid software maintenance.
Automatic renewal
If you purchase software maintenance, it will automatically be renewed for another year unless you object to the renewal. You will be informed by email 60 days before the renewal.
Usable without maintenance contract
If you have not purchased software maintenance or have not renewed it, you can no longer receive further updates and upgrades. However, you can continue to use your existing version indefinitely.
Flexible maintenance renewal
If you no longer have software maintenance, you can purchase an upgrade at a later date or renew your software maintenance retroactively (as this must be continuous) – whichever is cheaper for you.
All clients included
With the purchase of the Enterprise Server in the desired number of users, you additionally receive all clients for all supported operating systems as well as the web interface.
Named Licenses
The acquired licenses are Named Licenses, which may only be installed and used by one user at a time, but on any number of computers and operating systems. Furthermore, a license can be used in all available localized languages.
Special conditions
Non-profit organizations, government institutions, schools, and universities receive special conditions.
