Tutorial: Changing the authentication

The authentication method determines how your databases are encrypted. You can only use one master password, only one key file, or both in common. There is no "best" authentication method. A very long and complex master password can provide "better" protection than a weak master password, in conjunction with an easily accessible key file.

You can also change the authentication method later. In this video, we show you how to do it.
